This quaint 3 bedroom farmhouse is located at the end of a short gravel road, just 20 minutes from downtown Boone, NC, home of Appalachian State University. While the farm is easily accessed off of highway 421, it is completely private, and the only sounds to be heard are the chirping of frogs and the wind blowing through the trees. The 105 acre property is a pristine mountain ‘bowl’, offering stunning views in all directions and surrounded by hiking and 4 wheeler trails that offer a beautiful and unique, peaceful hideaway. We are only 5 minutes from Red Tail Golf Course and 20 minutes from Boone Golf Course. However, the farm offers its own ‘Bulls eye’ golf course (nine tee boxes and one hole), allowing for an adventurous journey to tune up your par three skills. The property is surrounded by pasture land and cattle, colorful wild flowers, several creeks, a gold fish pond, a variety of vintage farm equipment , a functional barn for entertaining, a stage (previous home to the ‘Trade Music Farm’), awesome hiking trails and amazing views! The area offers a variety activities to keep you busy. If antiquing is a passion, this stretch of Hwy 421 is just the place to find great deals and amazing “picks” or you can stroll through the unique shops and small boutiques in Boone and Blowing Rock. Winter tourists will enjoy skiing and ice skating in the area as well as snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and sledding, right on our property. Zip-lining is a few minutes away. Warmer weather visitors can venture out for white water trips, float down the New River or take a long bike ride on the Creeper Trail in Virginia. Whatever your passion, your stay at White Fence Farm will be filled with relaxation, natural beauty, and the nostalgia of rustic, country living.
The farmhouse and grounds are decorated with old farm antiques bringing you back to the early 1900′s where things were simple and serene. The farmhouse sleeps up to 8 with plenty of additional tent sites around the property and an RV Hookup. “Its like renting your own private nature preserve” For more pictures of the Farmhouse and reservation information:
